DESCRIPTION

The Swashbuckler at Spanish Landing will be a new two-part series kicking off the year for 2021. This event will run in July and August. This event will host a sprint distance Aquathlon, 5K run, SwimRun adventure race and kids events.

The event will be located at Spanish Landing Park with a Pirate theme.

Koz Events produces this event for the benefit of Life Sports Foundation.

Our Mission is the enhancement of Life "through" Sports.

Life Sports Foundation is dedicated to helping people, including children, of all abilities who are facing physical, situational, or medical barriers to enriching their lives through sports.

Packet Pick up will be Race Day Only at Spanish Landing Park West beginning at 6:00 am. (This will be the ONLY Packet Pick Up)

Parking: There are 2 lots available for parking.  You must pay the parking machine onsite. Pay stations are available from 6:00 am - 10:30 pm.  Cost is $1/hour for a max of 4 hours.

Race Schedule: 

6:00 AM Packet Pickup Opens - Spanish Landing Park West - 4300 N. Harbor Drive

7:00 AM SwimRun gear check and course brief

7:15 AM SwimRun starts at 5K Start Line

7:30 AM 5K Starts 

8:15 AM Aquathon  2 Waves

8:30 AM Packet PickUp Closes

8:45 AM Kids Splash & Dash - 2 Waves (Kids 11-13 and Kids 7-10)

10:00 AM Course closed - All participants should be off the course

Course Map

SwimRun will start at the 5K start and consist of 7 legs. Athletes will run the west loop, swim, run the east loop, swim, run the west loop, swim, run the east loop, FINISH. 

Aquathlon will start on the beach with the swim, run into transition, run the west loop, then east loop, then FINISH

Splash & Dash - 

Kids 11-13 - will start swim on the beach, run into transition, run the east loop and FINISH

Kids 7-10 - will start swim on the beach, run into transition, run part of the east loop turning around at the Spanish Landing Park restroom at the west edge of the Spanish Landing Park East parking lot, then FINISH - Kids Turnaround Map

5K will run west loop then east loop then FINISH

Timing SMS and Race Tracking

Participants that signed up prior to Saturday at 9 am can now sign up for athlete updates / text messages of their times. Swim Run Adventurers will receive updates at the finish of their runs and swims.  Kids Splash and Dash and Aquathletes will receive updates at the finish of their swim and run.  5K Participants will receive their overall finish time.
